Repair procedure of drive axle housing of forklift truck

The drive axle housing of forklift truck is firmly mounted on the frame of forklift truck. Due to the rigid connection between the drive axle and the frame, the drive axle will bear most of the weight of the forklift in the operation of forklift picking up the goods or handling and stacking, and there are uneven roads and uneven fork load, so the drive axle will be bent, broken, half-sleeve tube bearing hole wear and half-sleeve tube journal wear and other injuries.


1. Inspection and repair of bending housing of forklift drive axle


1) inspection of the bending of driving axle housing. Before inspection, the flatness of the half shaft and the plane contact flange of the hub end shall be corrected first to eliminate the runout error of the end face. Then the standard half shaft shall be installed on the drive axle housing and the bearing shall be tightened. The central position of the left and right half shafts shall be tested from the housing to determine whether there is any bending. The difference between the two axes shall not be greater than 0.75mm.


2) the drive axle housing should be corrected when the bending exceeds the limit. When correcting, the corrected deformation should be no more than the original bending deformation, and the corrected pressure should be maintained for a period of time, so that the bridge shell can obtain a certain plastic deformation. If the deformation is too large and the bending deformation is greater than 2mm, it can be corrected after preheating, but the heating temperature is not allowed to exceed 700℃. Cast bridge housing to avoid heating correction.


2. Repair the broken housing of forklift drive axle


The cracks in the middle of the driving axle housing and on the protruding edge can be repaired by welding. The operation points are as follows:


1) cut into a 90° v-shaped groove along the crack, and its depth is 2/3 of the thickness.


2) drill holes with a diameter of 5mm at 6-10mm from the two ends of the crack.


3) the welding layer shall be higher than the base metal, but not more than 1mm. After welding the front side, repair the weld on the back side. The weld shall be leveled after welding. If the welding is in the working plane, the flatness error shall not be greater than 0.25mm.


4) after repairing the crack, the reinforcing web should be welded at the crack, its thickness is generally 4-6mm, and the reinforcing web should be symmetrical with the center of the drive axle housing.


5) if the crack penetrates to the driving axle housing cover or the main reducer protruding edge plane, the belly ring shall be welded to strengthen after welding. The reinforced belly ring of the driving axle housing cover plane can be connected to the outside, and the main reducer housing should be connected to the inside surface according to the permission of the internal space. When welding the reinforcing abdominal ring, bolts should be used to press the reinforcing abdominal ring on the flat surface first, so as to avoid position movement and flexure during welding.


6) for the drive axle housing after welding and repairing, the straightness error, the flatness error of the shell cover surface and the protruding edge plane of the main reducer shall be re-examined, and the correction and grinding shall be carried out to meet the standard.
